Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement by a (requires attunement by a cleric, paladin, or fighter) Must be struck by lightning while holding the shield)

This enchanted shield is said to be a fragment of the Aegis, the legendary shield of Zeus, imbued with the wrath of the storm and the divine protection of the gods. Forged in the heart of Olympus, its surface crackles with lightning, and the faint visage of a gorgon shimmers across its surface.

Properties:

Divine Protection. While wielding this shield, you gain a +3 bonus to AC and advantage on saving throws against spells.

Wrath of the Storm. As a reaction when hit by a melee attack, you can unleash a bolt of divine lightning at your attacker. The creature must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 18), taking 4d8 lightning damage on a failed save or half as much on a success. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Gorgon's Glare. As an action, you can channel the power of the shield’s gorgon visage, forcing all creatures in a 30-foot cone to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 18). On a failure, creatures are restrained as their bodies begin to petrify. A creature restrained this way must make another Constitution saving throw at the end of its next turn. On a failure, they are petrified for 1 minute. On a success, the effect ends. Once used, this ability cannot be used again until the next dawn.

Stormforged Flight. As a bonus action, you can call upon the winds of Olympus to grant yourself a flying speed of 60 feet for 10 minutes. This ability can be used once per long rest.

The Aegis of the Stormforged is a sacred relic, and those who misuse its power may draw the ire of Zeus himself.
