Armor (breastplate, half plate, or plate), very rare
Fortune does not favor those who wear this armor. Wearing this is similar to herding cats or getting Elves to see another point of view. Once a Minor Orbalette takes hold on a creature, the best thing the creature can do is pray for a swift death. But that is not the turn of events now. There are some who know how to construct gloves, boots and a helmet to force back the dividing hive of insects to keep them at bay. The wearer can no longer be considered anything other than grotesque, even if their power in combat becomes unrivaled.
The armor can be worn under normal clothes, but it doesn't impede bodily functions. Once you put it on, it can't be removed unless you cast "Greater Restoration" or "Wish".
The armor may start as covering a section of the body before spreading to more and more of the character. Work with your DM to determine how much of a boost it should give to your AC or if it should be a flat bonus. If the Swarm covers everything except the hands feet and head, it is considered +1 plate armor.
While wearing the armor, you gain vulnerability to lightning damage. The armor also gives resistance to Slashing damage. The armor also doesn't impose disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks. The armor does impose diadvantage on all Charisma checks, except intimidation while imposing a -2 to the wearer's Charisma stat.
One does not need to be proficient with the armor in order to wear it, and the character wearing is considered to be proficient in the armor while wearing it.
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
Notes: Stealth Disadvantage
