This hide covered chain armor was specifically crafted by a ranger that wanted to give his canine companion an edge in combat. It is constructed of a specially designed chain shirt for canines that is covered by two layers of leather to prevent the chain shirt's rings from rubbing the dog's skin uncomfortably and easy of movement. This armor, once worn by a canine companion, gives an Armor Class of 13 + DEX MOD (no limit). Also it is imbued with magic that gives a strength buff of +2 to STR.
Made of interlocking metal rings, a chain shirt is worn between layers of clothing or leather. This armor offers modest protection to the wearer's upper body and allows the sound of the rings rubbing against one another to be muffled by outer layers.
Notes: Bonus: Strength Score, Set: Minimum Base Armor
