An ancient Lantern that is steeped in the ethereal energies of the afterlife. Crafted by a long forgotten Necromancer who sought to bridge the gap between the living and the dead, allowing travelers to safely navigate haunted lands. How this Lantern was created has been long lost to the sands of time, but it is said that the Lantern was infused with the souls of lost wonderers, granting it the ability to guide adventurers through spectral realms.
As a bonus action, speak the command word (Maranam) and have ghostly light emitted in a 30' radius.
The lantern will illuminate Invisible creatures and grants Advantage on Saving Throws to avoid the Frightened condition.
Once per long rest, the Lantern can be used to cast the spell Speak with Dead requiring no verbal, somatic or material components.
Using the Lantern in this way binds a piece of the users soul to the Lantern imposing Disadvantage on Constitution Saving Throws until the next long rest.
