Crafted from midnight-black leather and adorned with studs that resemble tiny voids in space, this armor seems to drink in the light around it. When activated, it creates an eerie dimness, making torches flicker weakly and magical lights seem to struggle against the encroaching gloom.
Worn by assassins and spies who operate in the gray space between light and dark, the Armor of the Shadows offers concealment and ensures that those who rely on the light may find themselves at a disadvantage.
Umbral Shroud (4/day) – As a bonus action, the wearer can activate the armor’s magic to suppress light in a 10-foot radius for 10 minutes. Nonmagical light sources within this area are reduced to dim light, and magical light is similarly diminished, casting only half its normal radius. This effect does not create complete darkness but makes the surroundings unnervingly shadowed.
Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
