"Aim Assist is a complex AI driven targeting system that helps guide critical projectiles to their lethal destinations." - Cocoon.
Built as a flexible pair of goggles that slide over the user's eyes, the Aim Assist uses AR (augmented reality) features to highlight a target's weak points and triggers the user to fire at this weak points with precision and accuracy. Two thin cords run down from the goggles: one can connect and interface with any modern firearm and weapon system (this includes Powder Armor suits, vehicles, and turret systems), the other is connected to the Power Cell unit where the item draws its power from. Though this is a prototype, field testing will quickly allow more efficient models to be created.
While wearing the Aim Assist, the user has a +1 to all ranged attacks they make.
Once per turn while wearing the Aim Assist, the user has advantage on a single attack roll with any ranged weapon they are proficient with so long as their target is within the normal range of weapon (this ability does not apply to ranged attack on target beyond the normal range). Additionally while wearing the Aim Assist, whenever the user lands a critical hit with any ranged or melee weapon, the user deals 4d6 extra damage of the type from the weapon used.
One Power Cell powers the Aim Assist for 2 hours.
Notes: Bonus: Ranged Attacks
