Description. Aegon's Trident is a magnificent weapon of divine craftsmanship. Standing a commanding six feet, its prongs appear as elongated, polished teeth of a mythical leviathan. Each tooth radiates an ever-shifting spectrum of aurora-like hues, reflecting aquatic patterns reminiscent of churning ocean waves. Its shaft, formed from unbreakable coral-forged adamantine, displays intricate reliefs of whirling sea creatures. A smooth, iridescent grip made from the skin of a kraken glistens wetly, never losing its hold even amidst tempestuous seas. Topping the weapon is a clutch of sea stones, pulsating like a beacon, echoing the rhythmic crash of distant waves. The air around the trident is charged with electric promise, tangibly lifting hairs and drawing clouds to gather overhead when wielded.
Usage. The trident holds 5 charges and regains 1d3+1 daily at dawn. As an action, it can release a devastating bolt of lightning, targeting a point within 120 feet. Each creature in a 20-foot radius must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d6 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Additionally, the trident grants a +3 to attacks and causes a target hit to be struck with a residual shock for 1d6 damage. The weapon only functions in full capacity for clerics or paladins dedicated to a sea deity.
Lore. Forged during a celestial alignment of oceanic deities, Aegon, the revered sea deity, imbued this trident with tempest-force capabilities. Carried by the champions of the sunken realms, it has controlled tides in battles both above and beneath the waves. Tales speak of its pivotal role in the submersion of entire isles, safeguarding the ocean's sanctity by banishing threats lurking in the abyss. Its presence is heralded by rolling thunder, and it is immortalized in maritime lore as the beacon of the sea god's wrath and protection.
Material Composition. Coral-forged adamantine enveloped in tempest essence
