Aegis of the Warpriest

This ancient shield hums with divine energy, blessed by war gods who favor both piety and strength. Forged from celestial steel, it bears the engraved symbol of a battle-worn deity.

Properties:

• Divine Aegis. While wielding this shield, you gain a +2 bonus to AC.
• Warrior’s Resilience. You gain resistance to necrotic and radiant damage.
• Holy Smite. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can deal an additional 2d8 radiant damage. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest.
• Shield of the Faithful. As a reaction, when an ally within 10 feet is hit by an attack, you can impose disadvantage on the attack roll. You can use this feature twice per long rest.
• Channel the Divine. If you are a Cleric, you can use your Channel Divinity one additional time per long rest while attuned to this shield.
• Divine Spellcasting. If you are a Cleric, you can cast spells from this shield using the spells listed below, using charges as spell levels. You have a total of 10 charges per long rest, and upon a long rest, restore 1d6 charges plus your proficiency bonus.
