This ancient dagger was once forged of steel, but centuries embedded in the heartwood of an ancient tree have transformed it. The blade is now a translucent amber hue, fused with the hardened sap that has altered its very nature. It hums faintly with primal energy, carrying the essence of both steel and the life it was consumed by.
Properties:
Sap-Infused Blade: The dagger deals 1d6 piercing damage and an additional 1d4 acid damage as the resinous blade seeps a slow-burning, caustic sap into wounds.
Rooted Resilience: When wielded, the user gains advantage on saving throws against being pushed, grappled, or knocked prone, as the dagger subtly reinforces their stance with the steadiness of an ancient tree.
Amber Seal: When a creature is critically hit with this dagger, the wound begins to harden with tree sap. The target must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be restrained for 1 minute as amber-like resin encases their limbs. A restrained creature can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns, breaking free on a success.
