Wondrous Item, unknown rarity (requires attunement by a Cleric with the Bloodbound Ritual Feat)

A mysterious container of a deep crimson liquid. An ominous energy seems to emanate from it.

Sanguine Mark. As an action, you choose a creature you can see within 30 ft. and attempt to mark them until the end of your next turn. The creature must make a DC 13 Constitution Saving Throw or the target is considered vulnerable to piercing and slashing damage and the target cannot regain hit points. At the end of the effect, spears of blood erupt from the body of the target and deal 2d6 unavoidable piercing damage. Once this feature is used, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.

DIsmember. As an action, you make a melee spell attack against a creature in range as dangerous hemomantic energy flows out of you. You suffer 1d6 points of damage, all of which cannot be mitigated. On a hit, the creature suffers 3d6 slashing damage. On a critical hit, roll a d4 which determines a limb to be rendered dismembered. The DM determines the negative implications of the effect to the creature. Once this feature is used, you can't use this feature again until you complete a long rest.

Curse. This weapon is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. Until the curse is broken, you are unwilling to part with the weapon. Whenever you complete a long rest, you must sacrifice a piece of your life essence to the object or lose access to the features this object provides until you complete a long rest again. Sacrificing your life force requires you to deal 1d10 unmitigated damage to yourself as the blood lost from this process gets absorbed by the vessel.
