Daytaker is a legendary longbow crafted from the heartwood of an ancient, ebonwood tree, its dark wood appearing as if it absorbs the very essence of dawn. The limbs of the bow shimmer with faint veins of golden light that pulse like a dying sun, and when drawn, the bowstring hums with an eerie resonance. Sundown Strike: Arrows from Daytaker strike with increased force against foes bathed in sunlight. Dealing an additional D8 necrotic damage.
Eclipse Shot: Once per long rest, the bow can fire a shadow-wreathed arrow that briefly extinguishes light in a 15-foot radius upon impact. Casting the Darkness spell wherever the arrow hits.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
