Aria’s Piercer

Long ago, in the grand city of Melodraine, where music and magic were one, there lived a famed Leapling (a person born on leap day) bard-duelist named Aria Valtieri . Known for her ethereal melodies and unmatched skill with the rapier, she performed for kings and cut down challengers with equal grace. Her signature weapon was no ordinary blade—it was a rapier forged from the same enchanted wood as her viola’s bow, humming with arcane resonance.

But Aria’s greatest performance came at a terrible price. The tyrant-king Vasilius the Iron Veil sought to silence all magic that did not serve his rule. When Aria refused to bow, Vasilius sent his elite knights, clad in impenetrable blacksteel armor, to cut her down. She stood alone in the Grand Amphitheater, her music weaving through the air as the knights charged.

As legend tells it, Aria played a final, haunting note on her viola. The bow in her hand elongated into a rapier of pure harmonic energy. With a flick of her wrist, she danced through the battlefield, her blade phasing through steel as if it were air. No armor could stop her strikes, and the knights fell one by one, their iron shattering like glass under her song.

Though victorious, Aria was mortally wounded. With her last breath, she whispered a spell into the rapier, binding it forever to the music of the world. It is said that those who wield Aria’s Piercer can still hear the soft echo of her final performance, and when the blade hums, it seeks to finish her unfinished symphony—striking down tyrants and those who hide behind the weight of their armor.
