"But the universe isn't fair. Things don't work out neatly, pain, hardship and challenges divided equally among those best equipped to deal with them. Sometimes individuals have to be Atlases and carry the weight of the world alone. It shouldn't happen that way, but it does." - Darren Shan
Unusually heavy, Atlas' Hammer is forged from an unknown metal and fused with a shard from an unknown plane. The shard glows green at the center of a large hammer with a short handle. Seeming held in place by nothing in a hole through the hammer, the shard emits a strange humming when the hammer is swung through the air. As it move, things nearby are gently pulled toward it.
