Weapon (scimitar), very rare (requires attunement by a Fighter or Paladin)

Twin Crescent Blades of Arcane Suppression

Weapon (Twin Scimitars)

Forged from an unknown dark metal that seems to drink in ambient magic, these crescent-shaped blades were crafted by an ancient order of mage hunters. Designed to disrupt and weaken spellcasters, they make even the most powerful wizards falter in battle.

Properties:

  • Twin Blades: These scimitars function as a paired weapon, allowing for seamless dual-wielding without requiring the Dual Wielder feat.

  • Arcane Drain: When you hit a creature capable of casting spells, they must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, they suffer one of the following effects (your choice):

    • Mana Drain: The target loses one 1st-level spell slot (or a higher slot if they have no 1st-level slots remaining).
    • Weakened Casting: The target has disadvantage on attack rolls and concentration saving throws until the end of their next turn.
  • Disruptive Strikes: If you hit a creature currently concentrating on a spell, they must roll concentration at disadvantage or immediately lose the spell.

  • Anti-Magic Charge: For each spell slot drained, you gain 1 Anti-Magic Charge (max 3).

    • When a creature within 30 feet of you casts a spell, you can expend 1 Anti-Magic Charge as a reaction to attempt to disrupt the spell.
    • Roll an Arcana check (DC 10 + the spell’s level). On a success, the spell fails and has no effect.
  • Silencing Critical: On a critical hit, the target is Silenced until the end of their next turn, preventing them from casting spells or using verbal components.

Proficiency with a Scimitar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
