Anathema

Once a symbol of righteousness, Anathema now smolders with the lingering hatred of its original wielder.

 

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Mage Slayer. A creature attuned to Anathema gains the Mage Slayer feat while wielding this weapon.

Curse of Madness. This greatsword is cursed by the maddening hatred of Berserker. Becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the greatsword, keeping it on your person at all times. While attuned to this weapon, you have disadvantage on attack rolls made with weapons other than this one.

While cursed by this weapon, if you see a creature cast a spell, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by Anathema until that creature is reduced to 0 hit points. While charmed this way, this weapon's bonus to attack and damage rolls becomes 3, your speed increases by 5 feet and the range of the Mage Slayer feat also increases by 5 feet. However, you can only use the attack action to attack the creature that cast the spell or the dash action, and can only spend your movement to get closer to that creature, and must do so, if possible.

 

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
