This evil magical item is made in the shape of a skull with a pair of horns, the mouth holds a small crystal vial that contains a portion of the users blood.
The amulet is suspended around the wearers neck on a chain made of small dark iron humanoid skulls, each one has a sigil related to necromancy engraved on the forehead and the skulls mouths are open as if screaming.
When the power of the amulet is activated the skulls of the chain can be heard emitting a low keening sound that is very unsettling to all but the user.
This device is so steeped in darkness that they emanate an aura of evil that can be felt by anyone with in ten feet of the wearer, only lead can block this effect.
On activation the amulet lets the user raise up to six zombies or skeletons from suitable remains.
Unlike the animate dead spell, these creatures remain under the control of the wearer till destroyed or released by their creator.
There is a cost to the use of this amulet, an cleric of evil alignment permanently loses 1 point of charisma, a neutral cleric loses 1d4 charisma but the undead are not under any control, and a good aligned cleric attempting to use it takes 2d10 necrotic damage and the attempt fails.
Ability damage from using the amulet can only be restored using the most powerful of magics such as wish.
If the wearer of the amulet drops their charisma score to zero by using this item they die, their body instantly shrivels and drops, 1d6 rounds later they return from death as an undead, type based a on dice roll.
