Adamant Guantlets

These gauntlets are reinforced with adamant, the surprisingly light raw form of adamantine, and favoured among blacksmiths that can afford them. While it does not protect the same as adamantine, being incredibly brittle, it protects its wearer from heat and fire and allows them to handle incredibly hot material. 

While wearing these gauntlets the wearer is resistant to fire damage and can ignore creature traits that deal fire damage upon touch, such as the Heated Body trait of the Salamander. The gauntlets themselves are immune to the Heat Metal spell.
