This crimson gem pulses faintly with the rhythm of a heartbeat. While attuned, you gain the ability to cast False Life on yourself without expending a spell slot. When you cast the spell with this item, you don't roll the die for the Temporary Hit Points; you automatically get the highest number on the die.

Additionally, when you drop to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to expend a Hit Die and regain hit points equal to the roll + your Constitution modifier. This ability can be used once per long rest.
