A fearsome scimitar with a gold handle and a curved, silver blade, the entirety stained by many layers of blood and grime. Once an ornate relic belonging to a mighty oppressor long gone, it is now more than defiled. A small removable vial with a mysterious coagulation is embedded into the hilt, connected to fluid conduits running along the blade.
This item should be treated as a Scimitar, with the following rules as exceptions:
When you damage any creature except undead or constructs with this weapon, roll another attack roll. If this roll also hits, this weapon drinks the blood of the enemy, filling up the vial in the hilt for 1 part with the target's blood. If the vial is already full, nothing happens.
If the vial is filled up for 3 parts, you can use a bonus action to detach the hilt and consume the contents of the vial and gain Bloodthirst. This ability is available once per Long Rest. The vial remains filled after a long rest.
Bloodthirst: For 1 minute, you gain 1d6 temporary hit points, and your next two attack rolls with this weapon have advantage and deal 1d6 extra damage. When this effect ends, you gain 1 level of Exhaustion for 1 minute.
Exhaustion (level 1): You have disadvantage on ability checks.
This weapon is valued at 150gp.
Notes: Damage, Combat
