Armor (plate), legendary (requires attunement)

Forged from interwoven, petrified vines and razor-sharp thorns, this armor appears to be a living entity, shifting subtly as if breathing. It was once worn by a champion of the Blight, a guardian twisted by its influence into an eternal sentinel of rot. Despite its organic appearance, the armor is as strong as adamantine plate, though those who wear it risk being bound to the will of the Blight itself.

The armor functions as a Adamantine Plate and grants a +3 bonus to your armor class. In addition to the following traits:

Thorned Resilience.

The armor does not impose disadvantage on stealth checks while you are wearing it, and any creature that hits you with a melee attack within 5 feet of you takes 2d6 piercing damage. Additionally, you cannot be grappled.

Symbiotic Regeneration.

At the start of your turn when your maximum hit points are below half, you radiate out an aura of necrotic syphoning. All creatures within 10 feet of you take 1d8 necrotic damage, you regain hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt.

Grasping Thorns.

As a reaction when a creature within 10 feet of you moves, you can force thorny vines to lash out. The creature must succeed on a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be restrained until the start of its next turn. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest.

Blighted Spines.

As an action, you can cause the armor’s thorns to explode outward in a 30-foot radius. All creatures of your choice in the area take 6d6 piercing damage and must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute as toxic spores take root in their wounds. This ability recharges after a long rest.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.

Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Immunity: Grappled, Immunity: Critical Hits, Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage
