Aeorian Shield Gauntlet

This intricately designed gauntlet is made from a strange metallic alloy that shimmers even in dim light. Tiny runes are inscribed along the edges, nearly invisible to the untrained eye, giving off faint glimmers of blue energy. Once fitted on the forearm, the gauntlet feels light but sturdy, and the faint hum of arcane power within can be felt through your skin. The air around it seems to pulse with protection, as if the gauntlet is waiting to be called upon to shield its bearer from harm.

Features:

• Shield Pulse (3/day):
  As a bonus action, you can activate the gauntlet to generate a shimmering arcane barrier around yourself or an ally within 10 feet. The target gains +2 to AC for 1 minute. The shield is invisible but emits a faint harmonic vibration while active. This shield can only be applied to one creature at a time.

• Magical Deflection (Passive):
  While wearing the gauntlet, you gain resistance to force damage.

• Overcharge Shield Pulse (1/day):
  You can choose to overcharge the gauntlet’s shielding effect, pushing its arcane systems beyond safe limits. When overcharged, the barrier grants +4 to AC instead of +2 for 1 minute.
  After use, make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, you take 3d6 force damage as the gauntlet discharges unstable energy back into your arm and becomes inert until the end of your next long rest.
