Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a by a wizard)
A well-worn notebook full of a forgotten student’s notes on magical theory. On the front, in large, bold writing, it reads “Everybody makes mistakes!” Once per day, during a short rest, if the user has failed a spell they can write down a description of the attempt to regain that spell slot.
