This sword channels the magic of Thelaya into 3 different aspects of the planet: Earth, Sky, and Star. You can activate one of the aspects as a bonus action until your next long rest. Once activated, that aspect can't be used again until your next long rest and only one aspect can be active at a time. Once you activate an aspect, you can choose 1 of 3 different damage types to have your sword inflict for the duration of the aspect.
Earth Aspect: You call upon the unwavering strength of Thelaya's surface and gain the following effects:
- Your speed becomes 20 ft.
- You gain a +5 bonus to your AC.
- All damage dealt by this sword becomes Fire, Poison, or Necrotic.
In addition, you gain the following abilities as an action:
Lava Geyser: Choose one spot within 30 ft and summon primal magma from the mantle of Thelaya itself. All creatures within a 10 ft radius must make a CON saving throw or take 6d6 fire damage and have their speed reduced by 10 ft until the end of their next turn. A creature that succeeds on the saving throw takes half as much damage and doesn't have their speed reduced.
Swallowing Earth: Target a number of creatures up to your CHA modifier and call upon Thelaya to consume your enemies. Each creature has a 5 ft hole in the ground appear beneath their feet and must succeed on a DEX saving throw or fall into the hole. A creature that falls in the hole has disadvantage on all attack rolls and attack rolls against them have advantage. The creature must spend an action to make a DC 18 STR or DEX check to escape the hole.
Sky Aspect: You call upon the free and dauntless agility of Thelaya's skies and gain the following effects:
- You gain a fly speed of 60 ft.
- You can cast each of the following spells once per aspect activation without expending a spell slot or material components: Gust of Wind, Thunder Step, and Chain Lightning.
- All damage dealt by this sword becomes Lightning, Thunder, or Cold.
In addition, you gain the following abilities:
Gathering Storm: Storm clouds gather above the battlefield. At the start of each of your turns, roll 1d4 and add together all previous results. Once the total rolled equals 6, you can cast the spell Create or Destroy Water at will once per turn as a free action. Additionally, each time you cast a Paladin's smite spell, a bolt of lightning shoots down from the gathering storm clouds, inflicting an additional 2d8 lightning damage on the target of your smite spell.
Soothing Zephyr: Summon mythical calming winds from high mountain peaks empowered with fabled healing magic to ease you and your companions' suffering. Distribute an amount of healing equal to your Paladin level multiplied by your CHA modifier to any number or combination of party members, including yourself.
Star Aspect: You call upon the enigmatic and absolute position Thelaya has in the vast expanse of the howling dark of the universe and gain the following effects:
- You glow with the light of stars, shedding bright light out to 120 ft and dim light out to 300 ft.
- You gain Advantage on CON, INT, and WIS saving throws.
- All damage dealt by this sword becomes Psychic, Force, or Radiant.
In addition, you gain the following abilities:
Singularity: As an action, point to a spot you can see within 100 feet of you. Light begins to warp into a lens as gravity magnifies greatly around that point. For 1 minute, or until you dismiss it as a bonus action, objects and creatures within a 30 foot radius of that point must make a STR save at the start of their turn against your spellcasting save DC or be pulled up to 10 feet towards the center.
If the save is failed by 5 points or more, the creature falls prone and is pulled up to 20 feet towards the center. This area is difficult terrain and whenever a creature or object reaches the center of the singularity or starts their turn there, they are crushed by the overwhelming attractive forces at work, taking force damage equal to your Paladin level. When you summon the Singularity, you may choose a number of creatures you can see up to your CHA modifier to be unaffected by this massive surge of gravity.
Star Field: As a bonus action, you may summon an Exploding Star to a point you can see within 100 feet of you. Stars occupy a 5 foot space, and they shed dim light in a 5 foot radius around them. Whenever a creature comes within a 5 foot radius of an Exploding Star, the star explodes.
When this happens, all creatures within a 15 foot radius of the Exploding Star must make a DEX saving throw against your spell casting DC, taking 4d4 radiant damage on a fail and half on a success. You have a number of Exploding Stars to summon equal to your Proficiency bonus per long rest.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
