A curved, jagged bone dagger once used by priests of the Silent Choir to “mend the soul” through agony. The blade is yellowed, etched with whispers in a forgotten tongue, and always faintly warm. It bears old, flaking blood that never fully dries.
-
Acts as a +1 magical dagger.
-
Finesse, Light, Thrown (range 20/60 ft.)
Soul-Stitch (Critical Hit Effect):
On a critical hit, the target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be Silenced for 1 minute.
-
While Silenced, they cannot speak or cast spells with verbal components.
-
The target may repeat the save at the end of each of its turns.
Stitch the Flesh (Kill Effect):
When you reduce a creature to 0 HP with this weapon:
-
You immediately regain 1d6 hit points as thread-like fibers crawl from the blade to your wounds.
-
You also gain 1 Fracture Point (if using Fracture mechanics) as the soul-stitching blurs the boundary between flesh and spirit.
Curse – Thread of Silence:
While attuned, each dawn, the wielder must succeed on a DC 13 Charisma saving throw or lose the ability to speak for the rest of the day.
-
This prevents spellcasting with verbal components, speaking, and using command-based magic items.
-
The player may communicate in writing or gesture.
This curse cannot be removed by standard Remove Curse unless the attunement is broken and the blade is ritually unmade.
Appearance:
-
A jagged, ivory-white blade shaped like a curved suture needle.
-
The hilt is bound in old prayer-cloth stained red, and faint whispers echo when it’s unsheathed.
-
When it strikes flesh, it feels like threads are tugging just under the skin.
Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
