Fire is a thing of terrible beauty. Not just destruction, but also a renewal, a cleansing. To find new life from old ash.
Eternal Flames: When you use a spell or class feature to summon a creature with the fire subtype or that is composed primarily of fire while attuned to this staff, the summoned creature's duration becomes permanent instead of its normal duration. This includes the Summon Wildfire Spirit feature as well as spells like Conjure Elemental . The creature summoned this way is able to speak in common and is more independent than normal. You can only have one creature summoned this way.
Controlled Burn (3/day): As an action, you can touch a flammable object with the staff and cause it to burst into controlled flames. These flames spread as you direct (within a 30-foot radius), igniting other flammable materials but not harming creatures or objects you designate. The flames last for 1 minute before dissipating into harmless smoke.
Spells. The staff has 10 charges. While holding the staff, you can cast one of the spells on the following table from it, using your spell save DC. The table indicates how many charges you must expend to cast the spell.
| Spell | Charge Cost |
|---|---|
| Burning Hands | 1 |
| Fireball | 3 |
| Wall of Fire | 4 |
Regaining Charges. The staff regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll 1d20. On a 1, the staff crumbles into cinders and is destroyed. Any summons made with it instantly vanish.
