This ring is linked to the Elemental Plane of Fire.
While wearing this ring, you have advantage on attack rolls against fire elementals, and they have disadvantage on attack rolls against you. In addition, you have access to properties based on the Elemental Plane of Fire.
The ring has 5 charges. It regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. Spells cast from the ring have a save DC of 17.
You can expend 2 of the ring's charges to cast dominate monster on a fire elemental. In addition, you have resistance to fire damage. You can also speak and understand Ignan.
If you help slay a fire elemental while attuned to the ring, you gain access to the following additional properties:
- You are immune to fire damage.
- You can cast the following spells from the ring, expending the necessary number of charges: burning hands (1 charge), fireball (2 charges), and wall of fire (3 charges).
Notes: Resistance: Fire, Immunity: Fire, Damage, Control, Warding, Jewelry
super cool
I love this can this be real?
So I suppose if you have a druid friend, have them cast conjure elemental and then just gank the required elemental for the effect?
Does the fire immunity remain if you un atune? Like could you slay a fire elemental and unatune, and stay immune (doubt it). What about re atuneing? Would you have to slay another elemental to get it back,or would it remain? If yes,What about if you give it to someone else? Would they have to kill one,or would it remain?
Seems legit. On that note - does this item only work on an actual Fire Elemental, or will any creature native to the Elemental Plane of Fire do? I'm assuming it has to be a proper Fire Elemental since that's the creature the description links to (and squishing something like a magmin to gain the extra benefits seems cheap) although it's not really explicit apart from a hyperlink.
If a Druid casts “wild shape” to turn into a fire elemental and I kill it. Do I get the abilities? Also, does the fireball level up? or stay at level 3?
(Im playing a fire Genasi monk and loving it)
Slay a fire elemental and combine this with the Red Dragon Mask to get some crazy healing every turn from Heat Metal
So, does this mean that I have to expend 2 charge on dominating a fire elemental and only then get Resistance to fire damage? If so, the ring would have zero use unless you come across a fire elemental - and then hopefully kill it to get the real benefits.
