Plane descriptions were condensed from a paragraph each to just a sentence. To me, that kinda makes sense as a player doesn't need to know as much about other planes as a DM should, but I hope more info on the Planes will be in the DMG for that reason.
The complete removal of deities from the PHB is absurd for the reason you mentioned. Deities are an integral part of multiple classes and can also just play a big part in a character's background if the player chooses to do so.
I received my new 2024 PHB today and was going through it, one thing that I found super disappointing is that they seem to have removed all the deity and pantheon descriptions and tables and boiled down the descriptions of the other Planes to just a sentence a piece.
Why take out all the deities?
Why remove all the lore about the Planes?
Will the new DMG have more information on the other Planes?
After the first cancelation I added 2 alternate payment methods to my account to see if maybe they'd attempt to charge one of those, but it doesn't look like that happened.
I get where you're coming from, and I agree with some of your points, but that's sadly not how licensing works at all.
If I buy an album or CD I don't automatically get access to the same album on iTunes, unless there's been a specific licensing agreement put in place.
And to use your example of Skyrim; if I buy it for a console, that doesn't grant me access to versions for other consoles or PC. Could it? Sure, if companies wanted to, but at the end of the day it's likely more complicated than they want to deal with especially when the alternative is someone buying something from them multiple times.
That being said, there's some great plugins from Mr. Primate for FoundryVTT to get your content from DnDBeyond into Foundry.
I just searched "Befuddlement" in the search bar, clicked on the spell, and it routed me to the page to purchase the 2024 PHB (which I own and have synced to my account)
Using the Chapter Forward buttons to attempt to navigate through the Tales from the Yawning Portal book results in multiple 404 errors.
In order to navigate through the book I had to go back to the Table of Contents by backing out through my browser since the button linking to the ToC also led to a 404 error.

Alpha/Beta participants are under NDA so nothing can really be said about it currently.

The campaign view on my Android app shows that, it'd be really nice if the browser version did too

I've had pretty much the same experience as you.
After the first cancelation I added 2 alternate payment methods to my account to see if maybe they'd attempt to charge one of those, but it doesn't look like that happened.

Yup, same here.
