posted a message on Mix of tools to play online?

I use Foundry (hosted on Amazon Lightsail) for actually playing the game - maps, die rolls, character sheets, etc.  LegendKeeper for my GM notes, since it fits my style and is nicer to work with for this than Google Docs, OneNotes, etc.  And Discord for voice/video during the game.

posted a message on Enemies causing unknown unconsciousness

I'd just tell the player that the enemy knocked their character unconscious.  That doesn't mean there are less consequences, it just means that "immediately dying during the fight" isn't a consequence - probably.  But nothing good ever comes from the entire party getting knocked out, and I'd assume your players will realize that.

posted a message on Looking for suggestions on which campaign to start

The best campaign is one that you're excited to run, whether it's a published campaign or something you come up with yourself.  I haven't run any of the 5e published adventures so far and so can't directly comment, but I suspect if you want advice on published material to run, it might help folks answer if you said a bit more about what themes, types of settings, and so on you find appealing.
