Coming in late but this choice is what ended my support for Dndbeyond. I used to actively advertise to friends and players in my games for the ability to just buy a single race for a couple bucks, because that's way more accessible an option. But now I've pulled my subscription - and advised my players to do the same, and we're moving toward finding free alternatives. It is tragic how hostile this site (and WoTC in general) has become toward its own customers. Hopefully the amount of money plays like this lose them will entreat the company to shift back toward what the players loved about the site - but realistically we are probably watching the twilight hours of dndbeyond before the executives pull the plug entirely.
