Brief Backstory:

I was recruited into a pirate gang at a young age and quickly became a recon and salvage diver given I lack a need for breath. After nearly 30 years with this band, our captain (Jerald the Bear) was killed in what appeared to be a routine boarding that also claimed the life of our first mate. Sensing the coming conflicts left by the resulting power vacuum (and knowing I had poor report with the more aggressive members of the crew), the second we stopped in port for supplies I slipped away to find a knew life while I still had one...
What you're looking for in a campaign: A role play heavy experience that allows the group to get lost in their characters to the point they almost start behaving like their character when having an out of game discussion. Also gritty, intense combat with a genuine risk of PC death
