Sneak Attack. The mountebank deals an extra 24 (7d6) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an ally of the mountebank that isn't incapacitated and the mountebank doesn't have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Reactions

Illusory Turnabout. When the mountebank is hit by an attack, it weaves an illusion and the attacker must make a DC 14 Intelligence saving throw. A creature that does not rely on sight, as with blindsight, or can see through illusions, as with truesight, automatically succeeds on the saving throw. On a failed save, the attack is rerolled against a target of the mountebank's choice (other than the attacker) within 5 feet of the mountebank. On a successful save, the attack does half as much damage.

Description

Mountebanks prowl among shadows or masquerade in disguise, using their devious magic of enchantment and illusion to rob, spy, blackmail, manipulate, or even kill those with great wealth or political power.
