Fey Personality. As a fey creature, the Unicorn foal has a random personality. This personality is dependent on the player’s roll of a d8. 1 - Calm, 2 - Jolly, 3 - Naive, 4 - Rash, 5 - Careful, 6 - Bold, 7 - Brave and 8 - Hasty. The personalities are there until the creature is slain, as well as gives it special characteristics when it grows into an adult. See Companion notes on Discord for benefits.
Growing up a Unicorn foal - it needs to grow up to be able to join its owner on a adventure. To do this it needs three things: time; food; and warmth.
Time. It takes 7 days to become a juvenile, 3 days to become a teenager, 8 days to become a young adult and 2 weeks to become an adult.
Food. The amount of food varies between foals but normally it eats one ration a week at foal stage. Their preferred food is grass and mixed berries.
Warmth. The foal needs to be kept at a town or a city to be able to play. It must have contact with its owner at least once a week to be able to continue its growth. If you don't see it adds 1d4 days to its growth and it can not grow to its next level if not visited.
Companion. A Unicorn can become a mount as soon as it becomes a teenager.
Maturation. Once matured from foal to juvenile, see Juvenile Unicorn character sheet.
