Description

Hive guards are giant tree figures with four branch like arms and four legs. Inside their hollow wooden body, a hive of bees are protected. The bees protect the Hive guard and help pollinate the plant, and the Hive guard provides a safe mobile home for the bees. Sweet smelling flowers grow on the plant in order to attract the bees and one often smells the sweet scent of the hive guard before one sees it. It can also be said that one hears the buzzing of the bees before one sees the hive guard too. Bears will often attack hive guards despite the danger of the dangerous branches and stinging insects just for the chance of getting the precious honey hidden within. The scent often drives bears crazy and causes them to attack anything in sight. The honey is very valuable and is richer than any other honey that can be found but since it is so well protected it is rare to find any on the market. A small amount gives you advantage on constitution saving throws for a whole hour and a jar of the precious liquid would normally cost around 100 gp.
