Description

An Abyssal Goblin is the result of the abyss crossing into the material realm. Once a goblin perishes, the abyss takes hold of the corpse and uses it as a vessel, producing a creature of pure nightmares.

When the goblin is infected with the abyss, the abyss will flood the corpse, blackening portions of the skin, specifically the back. After approximately three minutes, the skin on the back of the goblin will begin to bubble, similar to how boiling water would. Within the next two minutes, four limbs made of pure void will extend from the goblin's back, one under the back of each shoulder blade and one above each side of the waist.

The newly formed limbs are around seven to nine feet long, each one being identical in size to the other three. About a third of the way through the limb, a joint will form that allows the limb to bend. These limbs will then act as legs, similar to that of a spider. At this point, the goblin's eyes will have been clouded over in solid black, and a process will begin in their jaw.

This process results in the bottom jaw splitting in half, almost directly in the center. This creates a bottom jaw that has two sections which can now spread further down and outward, allowing for a bone crushing bite. The goblin's tongue will also extend in length to about one and a half feet, hanging outside of the mouth when it is open. The process will end with the goblin's neck increasing in length by two feet.

Finally, the goblin's hands with behind to splinter and crack, flesh ripping as abyssal spikes extend from the arms and shoulder blades. The hands, however, will open up at the palm, producing a much larger, curving spike, referred to as an abyssal claw.

The Abyssal Goblin's only task is to find a stronger vessel to fill with it's void and it will follow this task until it's death. The Abyssal Goblin transports the abyss into the new vessel by grappling it with it's abyssal claws and biting off the face of the skull with it's large and powerful jaw. The Abyssal Goblin with then use it's tongue to inject the brain of the creature.

To date, none of the attempts to take over the new vessel have succeeded. At least, not to the world's knowledge.
