Traits

Storm Touched: The bear is storm incarnate and is always covered by a 100ft radius storm cloud. Whenever the bear would be subject to lightning damage from a source other than itself it regains hit points equal to half that amount instead of taking damage; If it regained 10 or more hit points in this way, it rolls to recharge Thunderfall.

Innate Spellcasting. The Thunderborn bear's spellcasting ability is wisdom(Spell Save DC 15). The Thunderborn bear can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components.

At will: Gust, Lightning Lure, Shocking Grasp, Thunder Clap, Call lightning

Actions

Multiattack. The bear makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) slashing damage.

Thunderfall: (Recharge 6). The bear leaps up to its movement without provoking opportunity attacks; a single target within 5 feet of where the bear lands must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, the target takes 32 (5d12) lightning damage and is stunned until the end of its next turn. On a success, the target takes half damage and suffers no other effects.

Other targets within a 15 foot radius sphere centered on the target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, a target takes 16 (4d8) thunder damage, is pushed 15 feet, and is knocked prone. On a success, the target/s take half damage and suffers no other effects.

Reactions

The Thunderborn bear may cast an innate cantrip as a reaction

Legendary Actions

The Thunderborn Bear can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Thunderborn bear regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Lord of the Storm. The Thunderborn bear may cast an innate cantrip

Arc Lightning (Costs 2 Actions) The Thunderborn bear calls a lightning strike centered on itself. Each creature within 5 feet of that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 15 (3d10) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
