Traits

Siege Monster. Ungoliant's attacks inflict twice as much damage to structures. 

Immutable Form. Ungoliant is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form. 

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Ungoliant fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead. 

 

Actions

Multiattack. Ungoliant emits a Frightening Roar, then takes 3 Slam attacks or uses Fleshstripper

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 21 (4d6 + 7) bludgeoning damage. 

Fleshstripper. Ungoliant's maw gapes, unleashing a focused torrent of magical energy in a 10 foot wide, 100 foot long line that rends flesh from bone. Creatures in the radius must succeed on a DEX saving throw DC 18, suffering 35 (10d6) force damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Creatures brought to 0 HP by this attack are skeletonized, and die instantly. 

Frightening Roar. All creatures that can hear Ungoliant within 120 ft must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 21) or become frightened of Ungoliant. Creatures frightened this way can repeat their saving throw if they do not see Ungoliant at the start of their turn, ending the effect on a success. A creature that succeeds on this saving throw is immune to the effect for 24 hours. 

Legendary Actions

Ungoliant can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature's turn. Ungoliant regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn. 

Crush. Ungoliant makes a Slam attack. 

Unholy Leap (Costs 2 Actions). Ungoliant can leap a distance up to its speed. 

Wrath of Orcus (Costs 3 Actions). A blast of green energy erupts from Ungoliant in a 50-foot sphere. Creatures in this radius must make a Strength saving throw (DC 18). On a failed save, a creature takes 33 (6d10) force damage, and is thrown 20 feet away from Ungoliant and knocked prone. On a success, a creature takes half as much damage and is not moved. Objects in this sphere take twice as much damage.
