Getting rid of their False Appearance Trait makes them far less interesting. I believe Wizards wanted to get rid of Traits that don't directly interact with game mechanics; but it does interact with Stealth and Surprise. The wording could've instead been changed to something like: "False Appearance. The Awakened Tree automatically succeeds on Stealth checks while not moving."
Not the biggest fan of the artwork but its fine. Better than nothing.
No changes at all except the trait removed. So the fm should decide if it is seen as a normal tree or not.
