Traits
Abduct. The bugbear needn’t spend extra movement to move a creature it is grappling.
Actions
Multiattack. The bugbear makes two Javelin or Morningstar attacks.
Javelin. Melee or Ranged Attack Roll: +5, reach 10 ft. or range 30/120 ft. Hit: 13 (3d6 + 3) Piercing damage.
Morningstar. Melee Attack Roll: +5 (with Advantage if the target is Grappled by the bugbear), reach 10 ft. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) Piercing damage.
Bonus Actions
Quick Grapple. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 13, one Medium or smaller creature the bugbear can see within 10 feet. Failure: The target has the Grappled condition (escape DC 13).
Cool!
Grab 'em, hit 'em twice with advantage, then drag them 30 feet.
That but not the advantage part. Your thinking of prone
Hmm ... "with advantage if grappled by the Bugbear".
You 100% on that?
Under the morning star it says advantage if attacking a creature grappled by it
I like the artwork. Its nothing special but it does its job.
I compare this one with the chief from 14.
Lost 2 ac because he forgot where his shield went. Got a bonus for WIS and CON saves which is nice. Sadly they forgot how to be intimidating.
His brute trait is "gone" because its just added in the dmg. Lost his suprise maxbe was to much dmg for low level groups. And the advantage against many spells too.
Can now do 2 ranged attacks which lays do 13 dmg and has 10ft rangw in melee (+3 dmg melee and + 7 range dmg) His morningstar got also 5ft range and thr combo of grapple and advantage + ability to move away with someone is a nice new mechanic
Overall inlike the new version more. The nerfs were probably needed.
