Posted Jul 24, 2026They are nearly identical, except the new version has a higher initiative and slightly different attacks. Same ability scores, saving throws, AC, HP, skills, languages, immunities, heck even passive perception is the same. Only difference really is the melee attack replaces 6d6+7 slashing with 4d6+7 slashing and 3d6 fire (difference of 3.5 damage) and the ranged attack replaces 4d10+7 bludgeoning with 3d10+7 bludgeoning and 1d8 fire (difference of 1 damage) but also pushes 15 ft and gives disadvantage on the target's next attack. I think the new version is just better, the damage changes are a wash but higher initiative makes it more deadly and I like the new art too.
