I like the change to it's bite, feels more fitting for an actively rotting creature
Art went from bald, white dude to blue-skinned dude wearing a robe.
They lost their turning defiance trait against turning undead, which is generally a cleric thing. Also gained proficiency in Wisdom saves.
Bite's damage was changed from 12 piercing to 7 piercing plus 9 necrotic, which, as Nekro Knight said above, is more fitting for an actively rotting creature.
The claw's damage wasn't changed, but its effect was. It used to be against paralysis for one minute with repeatable saving throws. Now it's just 'til the end of your next turn, just like the Ettercap's Bite effect.
I like the bite's damage increase, but the paralysis effect of the claws is laughable. When I ran ghasts, I'd always use the claw attack first to paralyze, then go in for the free crits and advantage on attacks, which is why my players fear them. With this guy, the effect lasts one round, which isn't as threatening or scary unless you're fighting a group. I'll use the old one's claws, thank you very much.
Edit: Didn't see that they got proficiency in Wisdom saving throws.
