Description

Undarholt Owlbears

Created long ago by misguided mages, owlbears combine keen avian eyes, thick feathers, and a tearing beak with a mighty bearlike frame. Despite their magical origins, owlbears have propagated and spread to wildernesses across the multiverse.

Owlbears are tenacious hunters that might track prey over miles and rarely give up their hunts, and their counterparts found almost exclusively within the Fey-Touched Undarholt Forest are no exception.

The Owlbears transformed by the Fey magics of the Undarholt Forest have evolved a natural resistance toward the various poisons found within the foliage and fauna of the forest, thicker hides that are resistant to all but the most keen blades and hefty clubs, and perhaps their most prevalent deviation, are the large feathered wings that fold up against its back,

This species of Owlbear tend to climb amidst the tops of the forest's great trees, making nests for themselves in the tightly interwoven branches, this then leads to their most notable form of attack as they use their heft and wings to pounce down onto unsuspecting prey.

Owlbears dwell in distinctive dens. Roll on or choose a result from the Undarholt Owlbear Den Features table to inspire an owlbear den’s noteworthy traits.
