Abnormal Creation. When the Ultimate Meatball forms, it absorbs all allied creatures within 100 feet that are Large or smaller. The Ultimate Meatball has a number of hit dice (d20s) equal to the number of creatures absorbed. All absorbed creatures have Total Cover and are knocked Unconscious. If not destroyed, the creature breaks apart after 24 hours.
Deathburst. When the Ultimate Meatball is destroyed, the creatures that were absorbed are thrown up to 60 feet from the Meatball, taking 42 (12d6) Bludgeoning damage and landing Prone. They are Stunned until the end of their turn.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the Meatball fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Unusual Nature. The Ultimate Meatball does not need to eat, drink, breathe, or sleep.
Multiattack. The Ultimate Meatball makes three Bounce or Pinball attacks.
Bounce. Melee Attack Roll: +15, reach 50 ft. Hit: 26 (4d8 + 8) Force damage.
Pinball. Melee Attack Roll: +15, up to 3 targets in a 30-foot Line. Hit: 19 (2d10 + 8) Bludgeoning damage and the Meatball moves within 5 feet of the final target without provoking Opportunity Attacks. Strength Saving Throw: DC 17, all creatures hit by the attack. Failure: The creature is knocked Prone.
Plow (Recharge 5-6). The Meatball moves up to twice its Speed in a straight line, during which it may pass directly through creatures and obstacles that are Large or smaller without provoking Opportunity Attacks or expending extra movement. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 20, all creatures and obstacles the Meatball passes through. Failure: 22 (4d10) Force damage and moves with the Meatball, landing Prone within 20 feet of where the Meatball stops moving. Success: Half damage only.
Legendary Action Uses: 3. Immediately after another creature’s turn, the Ultimate Meatball can expend a use to take one of the following actions. The Ultimate Meatball regains all expended uses at the start of each of its turns.
Bouncing Boy. The Meatball makes a Bounce or Pinball attack.
Roll Around. The Meatball moves up to its Speed without provoking Opportunity Attacks.
Quake. Strength Saving Throw: DC 20, all creatures within 20 feet of the Meatball. Failure: 11 (2d8 + 2) Bludgeoning damage and knocked Prone.
Description
The Ultimate Meatball is a magical monstrosity borne from a powerful spell that uses the bodies of those with malicious intent. The ancient, albeit crude spellwork forms a massive ball of flesh, limbs, and weaponry from surrounding creatures under the tenuous control of the caster. The creatures targeted are placed in a temporary stasis during which they lack awareness and are rendered invulnerable. Once created, they roll, bounce, and, generally destroy everything in sight until they are destroyed or the magic animating them runs dry. When the Meatball is defeated, the creatures within are flung from it and released from stasis. As a result, a battle against this creation may not be the end of an encounter, with both the caster and the creatures contained within able to strike once the adventurers have worn themselves out.
