Traits

Magic Resistance. Zarazhir has Advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects.

Legendary Resistance (4/Day). If Zarazhir fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Infernal-Elemental Restoration. If Zarazhir dies outside of both Cania and the Elemental Plane of Air, he reforms after 14 days unless his Contract Core is destroyed.

Master of Contracts. Zarazhir can forge infernal contracts functioning as geas spells (save DC 23). Creatures who willingly sign these contracts automatically become bound without a saving throw. Zarazhir can maintain up to 10 active contracts at once, which may affect creatures across planes.

Aura of Absolute Authority. Any creature starting its turn within 30 feet of Zarazhir must succeed on a DC 23 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed for 1 minute. While charmed, creatures perceive all of Zarazhir’s words as absolute truth.

Twisted Wish (1/Day). Zarazhir can grant a limited wish to any creature, but the granted wish always includes severe infernal corruption. Accepting the wish automatically places the creature under one of Zarazhir’s contracts.

Actions

Multiattack. Zarazhir makes three attacks: two Scourge of Sovereignty attacks and one Fiery Mace attack.

Scourge of Sovereignty. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 24 (3d8+7) force damage plus 24 (3d8+7) lightning damage. The target must succeed on a DC 23 Charisma saving throw or be restrained for 1 minute by illusory chains.

Fiery Mace. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d6+7) force damage plus 21 (6d6) fire damage.

Bite of the Betrayed Word. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 26 (3d10+7) piercing damage. The target must succeed on a DC 23 Constitution saving throw or gain an infernal wound. While wounded, the target can't regain hit points and takes 21 (6d6) poison damage at the start of its turns.

Whirlwind of Condemnation (Recharge 5-6). Zarazhir creates a 20-foot-radius, 60-foot-high cylinder of burning wind and infernal script. Each creature in the area must succeed on a DC 23 Strength saving throw or be restrained for 1 minute. Restrained creatures take 32 (8d8) thunder damage plus 18 (4d8) fire damage at the start of each turn

Spellcasting: The djinni casts one of the following spells, requiring no Material components and using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 23):

At Will: detect thoughts, suggestion, gust of wind, invisibility (self only), major image, wall of fire

3/day Each: chain lightning, dominate monster, telekinesis, wind walk

1/day Each: creation, plane shift, storm of vengeance

 

Legendary Actions

Zarazhir can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn.

Wind of Authority. Zarazhir flies up to half his flying speed without provoking opportunity attacks.

Contract Surge. One contracted creature takes 28 (8d6) psychic damage unless they yield to new contract terms dictated by Zarazhir.

Rewrite Reality (Costs 2 Actions). One creature that Zarazhir can see within 60 feet must succeed on a DC 23 Intelligence saving throw or be affected by programmed illusion until removed.

Lair and Lair Actions

Contractual Reality. All Insight checks made against Zarazhir automatically fail while in his lair.

Frozen Wind. The flying speed of all creatures except Zarazhir is halved within the lair.

Wishstorm Backlash. When a creature casts a spell of 5th level or lower in the lair, it must succeed on a DC 23 Wisdom saving throw or activate one of Zarazhir's dormant contracts.
