Traits

Magic resistance. The Under Lion has advantage on saving throws vs magic.

Natural Stealth. Due to the Under Lion’s ability to resemble surrounding rock and or the natural  environment, it has advantage on stealth checks while in the under dark and in rocky, mountainous terrain.

Natural regeneration. While in contact with solid earth the Under Lion restores 10 (2d8 + 1( hit points every 12 seconds, (2 rounds.)

Actions

Multiattack. The Under Lion attacks twice with its claws and once with its bite.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d8 + 7) slashing damage. The target must then make a dc20 strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (3d8 + 7( piercing damage. If the target takes 20% of they’re maximum health from the bite they must make a dc 20 constitution saving throw or lose part of they’re body.

Body part loss. D10: 1-2 Lose lower leg/foot., 3-4 Lose one leg., 5-6 Lose lower arm/hand., 7-8 Lose one arm., 9 target loses part of they’re torso and is incapacitated until a spell or effect heals exactly or above the damage done by the bite., 10 Roll again, on anything but a 10 the target loses two of the body parts, on a 10 the target is decapitated by the Under Lion.

Roar. As an action the Under Lion roars in rage: All creatures within 120 ft. of the Under Lion must make a wisdom saving throw, save dc18, or be frightened for 1 minute with additional saving throws at the end of each of they’re turns. While frightened any damage delt by the Under Lion to the creature done with advantage is an automatic crit on a hit.

Legendary Actions

Pounce (costs 1 legendary action). at the start of the lions turn if it is not in melee combat and moves atleast 20 ft. it can leap forward a distance of 20 ft. If a target is in the path of the leap it must make a dc17 dextarity saving throw or be nocked prone, taking 16 (4d6) bludgeoning damage.

Quick Retreat (costs 1 legendary action). the Under Lion can move up to 10 ft. after taking damage.

Boulder Roll (Costs 2 legendary actions). At the beginning or end of the round the Under Lion rolls itself into a rocky boulder and bowls in a straight line up to 60 ft. unless at a downward incline, (90 ft.). All creatures caught in the line must make a dc17 dextarity saving throw, taking 23 (4d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half on a successful one.

Description

Under Lions are large gray maneless lions that run wild in the tunnels and caverns of the underdark. They hunt alone but can be found in dens of up to 4 adult lions and any number of cubs at any given time. They are fearsome hunters hunting larger prey for sustenance, preferring the darker creatures of the under dark such as giant spiders, umber hulks and any other creatures it may come across. They are extremely loyal to they’re den mates and will do anything to protect each other. They’re dark gray coat is often covered in rock dust or actual pieces of rock, giving them natural camouflage in the under dark and seems to give ample protection against large solid objects. It has been told that Under Lions sometimes cause collapses in tunnels and then dig through for the prey left helpless inside the rubble.
