Greetings Beyonders!
We're happy to announce an initial release of the long-awaited Content Management feature!
After enabling content sharing for a campaign, a campaign DM can access the new content management page. They will see the content management button here:
The content management page will display a list of all licensed sources available to your campaign from all current players and the DM. Currently, free sources, like Basic Rules, will always be available to all users and cannot be toggled off.
The DM is the only user that can control access to sources for that campaign, though users may view the page to see what content has been blocked.
The DM will never be prevented from accessing a source that has been toggled off, nor will the user who actually purchased the source. If a user has access to a source through another campaign, they will still be able to access that source.
Once a source is toggled off, players in your campaign will no longer be able to access the compendium part of the source or the details page of any element from that source. Instead, they will see an access denied page, as shown here:
However, elements from the source are still currently available in the character builder, character sheet, and encounter builder. Restricting access in those tools will be coming in a future iteration.
Thank you so much to all our users who completed our survey and gave us feedback about this feature! Your responses helped us build this first iteration and also to prioritize what features need to come next. We learned that restricting access to compendium content was the most important aspect, that more fine grained control over items should come next, and that, lastly, we need to improve control around homebrew content.
And as always, happy dragon slaying!
That notes section will become very bloated if I copy-paste all the available information.
Are you sure that the Master subscription hasn't expired?
I have a master level subscription and the player I have in my campaign at the moment can't see the all of the races available from my purchased content in the character creator. I have enabled the content sharing as the DM of the Campaign and while they can access the ebooks, they cant use all of the races I have accumulated.
As far as I can tell, all languages are available to players regardless of content management settings. Is this correct? Plans to change?
Are there any plans to add Homebrew to this? I have some homebrew that is specific to certain campaigns and there’s no way to separate the them. If I allow homebrew, all of the homebrew is allowed. Maybe having multiple homebrew collections and choosing which collections are allowed in which campaigns?
