Greetings Everyone!
We're happy to announce the Digital Dice Alpha is now live on the Character Sheet for subscribers only.
These digital dice will help you reduce the math you have to do when playing D&D. We encourage everyone to give them a roll and tell us how they feel!
If you'd like to turn off Dice rolling on the character sheet for any reason, you can click on your character dropdown and toggle the Digital Dice off.
As a thank you, you will also receive a free set of Old School dice that celebrates our roots. You can activate them by going to the My Dice page under "Collections" on the top nav.
If you'd like to learn more about how to use the dice or to give us feedback, visit our Digital Dice Feedback Forum.
Thanks all. Happy rolling!

The dice roll is visually appealing, but the pop-up from the bottom right is QUITE large and intrusive. It makes it hard to roll damage too if you roll an attack.
I'd like to size it do and have it pop from another corner. Additionally, I just tested with my barbarian and I don't see how to add modifiers like inspiration or barbarian rage.
I like the concept though and I hope it continues to get developed! As a DM, I prefer to see my players rolls, but this is still neat, especially if I roll for them.
This doesn't seem to work with Monsters. That's what DMs need!
Would be great if DM could roll for monsters
Are there plans to add the dice roller into the Character Builder to make Stat input "Faster"?
I enjoy this far more than I thought I would. Any chance that when you choose to cast a spell by pressing the "Cast" button, it would auto-roll the corresponding dice?
I absolutely Love the new dice rolling function!!! When can we use it to build Characters?
Being there are features to reroll certain dice (ie meta magic) is there a way to do that with the Dice Roller now?
I'm very excited for this feature! Your video on this post has a sound effect for dice being rolled - do you know if this is planned for the dice roller, or if this is already rolled out in the alpha and I need to enable it somehow?
Is there a way to toggle for advantage or disadvantage rolls?
Just trying the new dice roller out and I am not figuring out how to include sneak attack damage. Any ideas?
Tis awesome! Great addition to an already great tool for D&D players everywhere.
Just adding my +1 to being able to roll for monsters/npcs!
Otherwise, this is awesome! Thanks for awesome update :)
I'll have to check this out, but FYI for anyone already using Roll20 or Discord - you could already use the Beyond20 plug-in for Firefox/Chrome to send rolls from your character sheet.
As a DM, will the ability to share this with my party be available? At least for those in the Master tier?
I love the idea of this, but unless it's able to share the rolls to the whole group, or AT LEAST with the DM, I think it needs more work. The UI is smooth and intuitive and looks very nice, and the rolls are very cool, not to mention the fact that now it's ALL there on the DnDBeyond Character Sheet. But using Beyond20 in conjunction with Roll20 is just more fun for the whole party. They like seeing the rolls of everyone else, and I like being able to hide my rolls or send them to people as DM.
Great implementation though.
Some features let you re-roll some or all dice will there be an option for this.
Have the die recognize advantage/disadvantage would be great.
Could we get a way to see the rolls in list form. Sometimes the result screen blocks an individual die.
Great start though, thanks DDB team can't wait to test these out in upcoming game. Again thanks.
Hmmm... Encounter toll, Combat tracker Dice... it looks like the VERY slow way towards a online tabeltop conected to DND
Will the dice be extended to the monsters/npc especially in the encounter tracker
Bottom left there is a 20 sided die, click that and a list of other dice show up, you can then click the 6 sider a number of times equal to sneak attack dice and then roll it.
I gave the dice roller a test today and I like the option to roll these on the sheet. While I enjoy rolling my physical dice, having the ability to quickly click a button and roll damage for a spell is great.
It may have already been said, but I think there should be advantage/disadvantage options for the roll. When you roll with advantage the higher dice has green flames come out of it and when you roll with disadvantage a dim red glow emanates from the lower roll. I think that'd be a fun little option and quick to identify.
Additionally, is there a way the rolls could be stored a little longer somewhere? Sometimes there are multiple attacks in a single turn and those numbers would fall off after the third set of dice are rolled. Just a thought I had given the campaign I'm active with has several with multiple attacks per turn.
Great addition, though!
