Really good movie, hope there will be a sequel.
It's sad it dont perform very well in theater even with good critics.
Most likely it'll stay on Paramount+, which is an add-on with Prime. It has a 7-day free trial, then it's $9.99/month after. There's a slim possibility of it showing up on Crave.
It's available for purchase on iTunes Canada for $12.99. Not sure how long it'll stay at that cost, though. :)
Bought it digitally. The 4k Blu-ray is really expensive where I live. Great movie.
Wonderful movie! I've seen it like six times with friends and family ^^ Absolutely nailed it!
Would love to see a sequel!
I have Paramount plus and cannot get the movie? I have tried the link which takes me to the site but NO film?? Am I missing something or is this another "only in the USA" thing?? No mention of this above? If this is the case then perhaps a mention of this would be good and not disappoint people hoping to be able to see it outside the USA via Paramount!
I have seen it at the cinema here in the UK and very good it was too!
Thanks.
THe Paramount+ link says this channel is not available in most of European countries ??
Just why..... why I am living for ??? ....... only to suffer.
Main events are 1490 DR according to Forgotten Realms wiki.
It is according to Forgotten Realms wiki. For example, the Dagult Neverember and Forge Fitzwilliam entries mention the elements of the movie plot.
"The plot was awful" -- It was fine, in *my* opinion; certainly as good as most D&D games.
"Dialog was pabulum" -- Have you ever played D&D around a table? Dialog was meant to reflect players' banter, inanities, and amusing quips.
"missed opportunities" -- It's called a movie adaptation. Yes, it doesn't depict the game with all its mechanics and spells... And I would've added some bits here and there myself. But if you really put all the magical elements of the tabletop D&D on screen (e.g. everyone casting spells all the time) it would become a mumbled, overcrowed mess of CGI effects ($$$), only (potentially) fun for the initiated. Have you seen the third act of most Marvel or DC films that dissolve into CGI chaos for the sake of portraying "real" in-world effects. I'm glad for one they toned the CGI down.
At any rate, in the words of the Dude : "Well, it's only your opinion, man."
***PLEASE MAKE A NOTE IN THE ARTICLE THAT THIS IS CURRENTLY ONLY FOR PEOPLE IN THE USA***
This is what VPN's are for! ... and only that honest.
i really looove the movie
is a good film and i love d and d and stranger things
If you go to Letterboxd, you can look up the film. It'll tell you what its status is in any given country in its list (i.e. if it's rent, buy, or stream).
It will be available to stream on NETFLIX in Canada starting JULY 2nd.
Can't watch it in Denmark tho by any legal means..
Paramount+ aint available in Denmark..
I am just going to share why you shouldn't be purchasing the movie from YouTube (if you are streaming it on your smart TV):
1. You can't stream it in HD (720p or higher)
2. You don't have audio in Stereo when I select English, only Stereo in English (with audio description)
3. No subtitle or close caption in various languages
Even if I try to connect my mobile device to the smart TV, those options are not available on the smart TV.
It's a great movie, but, YouTube is surely trying to kill it.
Saw it. Loved it. Already bought the BluRay.
I saw the movie back on opening weekend. I thought it was fun and really well done. It was a great service to the fans!
Such a great movie. This is fantastic news for the hundreds of people who have Paramount+
