2026 Roadmap: A Year of Adventure

Ravenloft: The Horrors Within

In Spring, the Mists roll in as we kick off the Season of Horror—which crescendos with our next upcoming product, Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. This book returns you to some of D&D’s most iconic and chilling nightmares, the Domains of Dread.
We can’t wait for you to get your hands on it and unleash dark legends at your table.
We'll be sharing more about this new book soon, but here are the key dates to mark now:
- Pre-order: April 13
- Master Tier: June 2
- Hero Tier: June 9
- Wide Release: June 16
Season of Magic: Arcana Unleashed & More

After the last scream of the Season of Horror echoes out into the void, we turn the page to the Season of Magic—a celebration of spellcraft, wonder, and ceaseless drive for power.
To kick off the magic, you’ll be able to add new tools to your table in August with D&D Reference Cards, built to keep key information close at hand when the action heats up.
Then, arriving as a source of inspiration for all lovers of magic and the arcane, Arcana Unleashed and the adventure book Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall will debut in September.
D&D Beyond: New Ways to Get Playing Faster

As shared recently in our Development Roadmap, D&D Beyond is leveling up with updates that reduce friction and help groups jump into the fun. From smoother onboarding for players to better ways to find events—and more improvements aimed at helping DMs prep with confidence—2026 will help you play your way online and at the table.
If you'd like to dive into more detail on D&D Beyond's feature releases and stay up-to-date with what's recently come out (like Shared Dice in the Maps VTT), keep an eye on our constantly evolving Roadmap Hub.

Posted Jun 9, 2026I would like to have the tarokka cards available for digital purchase.
I do hope character creation 2.0 involves mounts, pets and armor, punches, bags and backpack placements or something similar.
More specifically I would love to see bastions as a section in the digital character tracker with room plugins and photos of the room type with multiple trackers to include weekly income that auto populates gold into a vault for the bastion.
a calendar for the DMs session to track year month and date of the campaign with an option to auto adjust minutes during combat.
boons and banes with a specific time to automatically add or subtract to rolls from conditions such as exhaustion level would also be great to see in the future.
to include a change to the display of some books such as black letters against a grey background. I am colorblind, this is an accessibility issue. I Would also like a fix to the links in the books with an option to have those links take you to the 2024 editions if there is a 2024 edition of the link. (Or at least inform you of which book you need to purchase to view the link’s content)

Posted Jun 12, 2026Sooooo…. Just a rehash of Van Richtens and some Arcana Unleashed stuff. I guess I’ll have to wait another year until they drop something interesting. 5.5e came out and every book released since is just something that was already covered in 5e. It seems all the content worth looking at is partnered. It would be really nice if a book coming out wasn’t just rehashed 5e books. Create a few adventure books. NEW adventures would be specifically appreciated.
