Roll on the go! Now, you have all the magical glitz and glamor of D&D Beyond’s digital dice on the mobile app so you can roll anytime, anywhere. What does that mean for you? If you own digital dice, either because you purchased a set in the Marketplace, or earned them as a pre-order bonus for a book, you can now use them in your character sheet on the D&D Beyond mobile app.
Don’t forget—pre-order bonuses for Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything have been extended until January 4th, 2021! You can still get the witchy Cauldron Dice Set when you buy Tasha’s in the Marketplace!
Digital dice are enabled on your character sheet by default! If you aren’t a fan, though, they’re easy to disable: just tap your avatar icon (or long-press the dice icon), tap My Dice and disable the switch at the top. Be aware that this setting isn't synchronized between the web and mobile versions of your character sheet, so you may have to disable them on both.
If you’ve purchased a set of dice in the Marketplace and they aren’t showing up, wait a few minutes first for your app to update! Our dice kobolds probably encountered some adventurers on the way to bring you your dice—they’ll just be a sec.
Have you tried the D&D Beyond mobile app yet? Download it now in the App Store or on Google Play to have all your books, characters, and dice in the palm of your hand! Plus, if you give a gift to someone else on D&D Beyond, you'll get the brand-new Gift-Wrapped Dice Set!
Just confirmed that I did get the gift dice even when purchasing a gift for myself. Hope that helped
I'm sure it works, but that doesn't really answer the question of what is the benefit of using their dice roller instead of what is already available for free.
Yay
Ask anybody who bought digital dice from Beyond (I didn’t, so can’t help you there). However, I think it’s because it feels like actually rolling dice compared to Random Number Generator.
One day, the app will become so advanced that it allows players to add and remove things in their inventories, but animated dice rolls are much more important.
Nice
Lovely
I am going to check them out might even use them tks
You know what would be awesome? A virtual dice tray! Basically just a page that is just for rolling dice. When DMing, it would be nice to have a tab dedicated to dice rolls without having to open up a random character sheet. The same is also true for when I am playing other TtRPGs and want to use my digital dice but don’t want to have a character sheet open. You could sell different backgrounds for the dice tray pages as well or use them as additional preorder bonuses.
