Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes

This document corrects and clarifies some text in Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes. These changes appear in recent printings of the book and have been applied across D&D Beyond.

Chapter 6

Orcus (p. 152)

In Orcus’s first lair action, “(save DC 23)” has been removed.

Red Abishai (p. 162)

In the red abishai’s bite attack, “(5d10 + 6)” has changed to “(3d10 + 6)”.

Hellfire Engine (p. 165)

In the hellfire engine’s flesh-crushing stride, the fourth sentence now reads: “On a successful save, the creature is pushed to the nearest space out of the hellfire engine’s path.”

Zariel (p. 180)

In Zariel’s javelin attack, “range 30/120 ft.” is now “reach 10 ft. or range 30/120 ft.”
